Make Sure You Meet Legal Requirements

Many areas of the country have legal requirements for disclaimers, paid for by, and authorization statements. Some boards of elections have campaign rules on size of font as well. These requirements vary by locality and the office being sought.

It is critical that you comply with these rules as failure to do so can result in fines to your campaign, bad publicity, or even the inability to use your palm card.

Make sure you meet all county, state, town and district mandatory requirements for campaigns. This includes disclaimers and other laws.

Check with your local election board for the details. Don't expect the printer or anyone else to know this information.

Not sure who to ask? State Contacts can be found here. Many of these provide candidate election guides.
